Compassion is not a Vice, Legislating It Is
Compassion is deeply personal, a genuine care for others. Communities throughout the country, from the coasts to the American West, show genuine care for others.
Unfortunately, when laws chain compassion, coercion often replaces kindness. Real human connections fade, personal responsibility erodes, and corruption ends up harming the people the laws were supposed to help. Compassion is wonderful. Chaining it in bureaucracy isn’t. We created our “Compassion is not a vice; legislating it is” design with this in mind.
